As a UK Life Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring effective governance across our Life Insurance business. You’ll help drive compliance, risk management and regulatory excellence, ensuring we deliver secure, sustainable value for our customers and stakeholders. This is a high visibility role with exposure to senior‑most stakeholders. What will you be doing?
- We are looking for someone to provide ongoing support and oversight of the UK Life business, developing strong business relationships and managing various tasks.
- You’ll support the UK Life Head of Business Coordination and Governance, Governance Consultant and Life Data Services team.
- Core responsibilities will include:
- Governance Frameworks: Support the maintenance and enhancement of governance processes, policies, and standards across the Life business – including Consumer Duty and Product Oversight and Governance frameworks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Support implementation of UK regulatory changes impacting Life Insurance, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Risk Management: Assist with risk identification, assessment, reporting, and mitigation in line with Zurich’s enterprise risk management approach.
- Assurance Activity: Help with internal audits, assurance reviews and regulatory reporting.
- Governance Administration: Manage governance administration including coordinating governance committees.
- Policy Implementation: Work collaboratively with UK Life teams to implement and review governance policies and controls.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and foster relationships with UK Life stakeholders, promoting a culture of strong governance and transparency.
- Data Inventory Management: Maintain accurate data asset information.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in governance, compliance or risk management, ideally within UK life insurance or financial services.
- Knowledge of UK regulatory environment for Life insurance (FCA, PRA).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse complex issues, problem solve and propose clear solutions.
- Confident working both independently and collaboratively.
