The opportunity: A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial Reporting team in Finance as an Insight Analyst reporting into the Commercial Reporting Manager. The role is to support the business by delivering basic financial analysis and working with senior business stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a valued member of the team, you will play a vital role in helping the department achieve its objectives and ensuring we deliver effectively to meet the needs of the business. What will you be doing? The role is focused on supporting the close of financials for ZIC UK, ZIE UK and Group. Your responsibilities will include:
- Production of month end accruals to support accurate submission of monthly financial results.
- Provide support on messaging on financial performance for specific parts of the profit and loss account.
- Assist in resolution of queries for specific items within the profit and loss account.
- Provide basic financial analysis under the direct supervision of the Reporting Manager.
- Perform basic financial analysis on financial data to highlight potential areas of concern.
- Managing internal and external stakeholders and developing strong relationships.
- Support specific Commercial projects where necessary in MFU’s area of responsibility.
- Ensuring all processes adhere to the established control framework.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement across the team and wider function.
- Working collaboratively with, and constructively challenging, teams and functions across the business.
What are we looking for?
- Technical
- Part Qualified accountant (an advantage)
- Experience in an accounting role within a Financial Services organisation would be desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of financial systems & business platforms (SAP an advantage)
- Behavioural

- Strong organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise and respond to unexpected events
