This is an excellent opportunity to join Zurich Corporate Risk (ZCR) as a key member of our ZCR Actuarial Pricing team. ZCR develops employee benefits insurance solutions for corporate customers. We are looking for a business-oriented and motivated person with strong predictive modelling skills to join our team.

  • Support development and implementation of priority advanced analytics use cases relevant to UK ZCR, including mortality rate modelling, conversion rate modelling, and price elasticity modelling.
  • Contribute to capability uplift and knowledge transfer within the UK Pricing team.
  • Support delivery milestones during a period of heightened transformation demand.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead on the development of various predictive analytics projects in the team.
  • Transform raw data into usable assets through data preparation, feature generation and in-depth exploratory analysis.
  • Develop and refine machine learning models, ensuring they are fit for purpose and deliver measurable value.
  • Produce insightful visualisations and documentations to support your findings.
  • Act as a key bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, clearly presenting findings in a practical, business-focused way.

What are we looking for?

  • Significant experience working in data science or insurance pricing roles.
  • Practical experience implementing machine learning models (including GLMs) using modern model development techniques.
  • Strong programming skills, including Python and SQL.
  • Experience working with cloud-based analytics platforms, such as Databricks.
  • Knowledge of insurance products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with developer toolkits (including Git and DevOps) is desirable.
  • Highly numerate and analytical with strong technical ability and financial awareness.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes and a positive user experience.
  • A genuine interest in solving real business problems and partnering directly with business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
  • A collaborative team player, with the confidence to guide and influence team activity where needed.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
