We have an opportunity for a Building Surveyor, specialising in Reinstatement Valuations and Cost assessments to join our team. This role involves providing assessments of building reinstatement costs for insurance purposes in accordance with the relevant building regulations to a range of public sector and commercial clients.
We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in reinstatement surveying and is looking to grow and develop their personal skills and knowledge in a fast paced, energetic and dynamic organisation. The role is home-based but with flexibility to attend any office if preferred.

What will you be doing?
- Travel on average 2-3 days per week to customer premises to undertake physical on-site reinstatement cost assessment in accordance with RICS standards
- Review internal data sources and open-source data to conduct desktop reinstatement cost assessments
- Prepare and present customer property reports to support business cases, including statements of need with accurate measurements, sites and premises
- Travel to customer premises to undertake physical site inspections
- Contribute to thought leadership and technical insight delivered to customers and key business partners in both the commercial and residential sectors

- Assoc RICS / MRICS Qualification
- Consultative approach with the ability to recognise opportunities to generate revenue
- Self-motivated and able to manage own diary whilst collaborating with the wider team
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience in meeting customer deadlines while maintaining high standards of work
- Pro-active ownership of responsibilities, time management and adaptability to changing priorities
- Excellent presentation and customer engagement skills; able to influence and negotiate
- Build trusted relationships and promote collaborative teamwork, seeking diverse perspectives from internal and external partners
- A full UK driving licence
