This is an important, and rewarding, role – a position of influence. The roles are within established and experienced market underwriting teams where you will be supported by experienced colleagues who will help to develop your knowledge. What will you be doing?
- Deliver against underwriting & financial measures as outlined in the plan.
- To be referral point on key customer accounts.
- Qualify accounts to meet with the organisation's appetite, consistent with sound business opportunity.
- To use your experience and expertise to challenge underwriting strategies – helping us to evolve our thinking and approaches.
- Accurately select, assess and price risk in line with underwriting mentorship.
- Make clear recommendations for market pricing, backed up by strong rationale and confident decision-making.
- Have an external presence with and serve as a key Zurich contact for our Broker partners.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, you will have experience in Motor Fleet underwriting and with some experience behind you, we would expect you to tick some of these boxes. If you are dedicated and willing to learn, we would like to hear from you!
- A proven background in Motor Fleet Underwriting, working with large fleets and/or hazardous haulage or PCV risks is ideal.
- Someone who's comfortable with numbers – processing, interpreting and analysing data and who has an eye for detail.
- A people person – you’ll enjoy working with others, be they internal colleagues or external partners to collaborate and achieve win-win outcomes. You see winning together as the key aim.
- A curious and analytical thinker – how do you effectively assess risk.
- A commitment to your professional development – you might have achieved, or be working towards a CII.
