We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Broker Relationship Executive to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing new and growing broker relationships.

This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of the insurance industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Management and development of new and growing broker relationships.
  • Development responsibility for broker panel. These accounts will vary in size, complexity or how technical they are in nature.
  • With support from the outset if required, working with minimal supervision you will be responsible for delivery of own sales and business performance targets.
  • Work with all brokers on panel to educate and implement new initiatives and drive pipeline, as well as other sales campaigns and appropriate marketing.
  • Identifying actual and potential customers or intermediary needs and meet those from the various products and propositions that exist within the business.
  • Complete a granular evaluation of your broker panel to drive maximum share of wallet.
  • Always represent Zurich in a professional manner.
  • Achieve minimum required standard for completion of all essential business tools.
  • Implement the Zurich distribution strategy and objectives through all allocated brokers.
  • Gaining and feeding back market intelligence/activity.
  • Carry out presentations and sales training for new product launches.
  • Working alongside Underwriters and the wider business to provide brokers with a market leading service proposition.
  • Your skills and experience
  • DIP CII qualification or working towards it (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of market dynamics, product details, and technical aspects, with a strong drive to continuously improve.
  • Adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Well‑versed in the unique characteristics and trends of the UK General Insurance market.
  • Proven ability to forge strong connections with brokers.
  • Effective collaborator with a strong ability to work within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to articulate ideas clearly and confidently.
  • Skilled in managing your schedule and prioritising tasks based on urgency and business needs.
  • Ability to oversee and drive successful outcomes in these areas.
  • Exceptional planning skills to manage your diary effectively and prioritise tasks critical to business success.
