The opportunity: As a Senior Analyst, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our understanding of risk and shaping how we manage exposure across multiple lines of business. Acting as a trusted technical expert, you’ll provide guidance and insight to the market‑facing units supporting robust underwriting discipline and informed decision‑making. Working within the Exposure Management team and benefiting from the breadth of expertise across Zurich’s UK Technical function, you’ll help drive the delivery of our Exposure Management strategy. A core part of your role will involve leading the development of both nat‑cat and non‑nat‑cat exposure processes, including the design, assessment and continual enhancement of Realistic Disaster Scenarios (RDS). You’ll also support strategic projects, monitor emerging risks and trends, and contribute to assurance activities and the implementation of Underwriting Guidelines. Collaboration will be central to your success. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to ensure our exposure management capabilities are market‑leading and aligned with business priorities. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence meaningful change, support business growth and play a major role in advancing the organisation’s exposure management maturity.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of ways, including part‑time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full‑time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

What will you be doing?

  • Embed Zurich’s Exposure Management Framework—including policies, procedures, systems and reporting—across ZIK UK and in alignment with Group standards.
  • Help lead the development and continual enhancement of exposure management tools and processes to improve data capture, modelling accuracy and efficiency.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert to drive continuous improvement in nat‑cat and non‑nat‑cat exposure processes, supporting more robust risk assessment and governance.
  • Support the operationalisation of underwriting business strategy on Exposure Management through effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and update technical manuals and documentation to reflect policy changes and ensure smooth implementation.
  • Carry out research and analyse key themes and market trends to enhance risk assessment methods, exposure reporting and the internal model.
  • Identify and implement improvements to exposure management reporting, scenario analysis and the production of key metrics.

What are we looking for?

  • Advanced catastrophe modelling & analytical capability – including experience with tools such as RMS, Touchstone, or proprietary modelling platforms, and the ability to interpret model outputs for underwriting and portfolio decisions.
  • Strong data handling and technical skills – manipulating large datasets using Excel, SQL, and increasingly Python or automation tools to build exposure MI, streamline reporting, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Regulatory and reporting knowledge – familiarity with RDS, PRA/CBI filings, and other exposure‑related regulatory requirements.
  • Cross‑functional communication & stakeholder influence – presenting complex exposure insights to underwriters and senior stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
  • Portfolio monitoring & aggregation management – assessing accumulation risk across multiple lines performing monthly exposure roll‑ups, and identifying emerging risk concentrations.
  • Continuous improvement & tool development mindset – enhancing exposure reporting processes, building new analytical tools, and contributing to a culture of technical innovation and process optimisation.

As an inclusive employer we want to ensure that all candidates feel comfortable and are able to perform at their best during the interview. You’ll have the opportunity to let us know of any reasonable adjustment or practical support needed when you apply.

What will you get in return? We offer a wide range of employee benefits so our people can choose what fits them and their life.
