Digital Trading Trainee Underwriter in Chichester

Working hours: This role is available on a part‑time, job‑share or full‑time basis.

Salary: Up to £26,227.50 - £28,000 depending on experience.

Based in our Chichester office you will need to be in the office for a minimum of 4 days a week during training. What will you be doing?

• Building strong relationships with customers by listening, understanding, and meeting their needs—whether you’re helping to bring new customers on board or supporting our existing ones.
• Demonstrating Zurich’s trading and negotiation values in everything you do.
• Developing your knowledge of risk and business awareness and learning about our organisation’s risk appetite.
• Quoting and setting coverage, negotiating terms and conditions for New Business, Mid Term Adjustments, and Renewals.
• Handling inbound and outbound calls, managing tasks and Live Chat, with a focus on winning new business and retaining customers.
• Resolving technical queries by referencing policies, procedures, and specifications, including on short‑term projects.
• Administering and monitoring underwriting rules, guidelines, and insurance regulations.
• Being an active member of our large, multi‑location Underwriting team.

What are we looking for?

• Basic knowledge of insurance or financial services is helpful, but not essential.
