The Opportunity
Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS) have an opportunity for a dynamic, results-driven and customer centric Business Interruption Consultant to join our Property Practice. Our customer base ranges across the Public and Private sector, from mid-market to Global and this is the perfect role for an individual who has a passion to support organisations to understand their Business Interruption and Supply Chain exposures.
As a Business Interruption Consultant at ZRS you will help our customers to understand, prepare for and recover from disruptions that can affect their organisations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the development and implementation of business continuity initiatives focussing on identifying measures to improve organisational resilience and minimising financial losses for an organisation.
This position is home based with travel to customer locations and local offices. The successful candidate will work with our local Property Risk Engineering teams to support our current customers, and our global team to support the growth and development of our proposition.

What will you be doing?
- Collaborate with customers to develop and review Business Continuity plans
- Conduct customer organisational analysis of business interruption and interdependency issues, supporting the development of prioritised plans to reduce and address potential vulnerabilities
- Support customers identify and prioritise mission-critical functions by identifying required resources and interdependencies,
- Deliver thought leadership for internal stakeholders and external customers on the topics of business interruption, business continuity and supply chain.
- Delivery of pre-loss Business Interruption reviews to provide clients with a clear understanding of loss scenarios emanating from property loss events.
- Through the analysis of customers operating models, financial reports and potential risk events identify measures to mitigate business interruption losses.
- Work with Zurich colleagues globally to collaborate on the development and delivery of Business Interruption services.
- Review of customer’s existing BCP, Supply Chain, Risk Management planning and testing in accordance with ISO standards 22301, 2800 & 3100
What are we looking for?
- In-depth knowledge and experience working with business continuity, interdependency analysis and supply chain risk management concepts and practices.
- Experience in developing BCP, and conducting Business impact analysis
- Experience working with or in a large corporate organisation would be advantageous. Ability to demonstrate experience in advising on business interruption risks.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation and client relationship skills to engage a wide spectrum of stakeholders in this technical topic and achieve desired outputs.
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to act quickly and decisively in ambiguity
- Open to change and able to quickly adjust to new processes, tools, or shifting priorities.
- Takes ownership of work, delivers on commitments, and communicates progress proactively.
- Proven ability to generate and maintain a sales pipeline within a consultancy led organisation would be advantageous
- Experience working within the insurance or risk management sector would be beneficial
