As an SME Insurance Underwriter, you\’ll work closely with broker partners to deliver insurance solutions that support the backbone of our economy—businesses providing everyday products and services. We’re looking for people with some insurance experience to join a team that puts customers first. From day one, you’ll be part of a collaborative environment that values creativity and doing what’s right for our customers. You’ll receive full training and ongoing support to help you thrive.
What you’ll be doing
- Analysing and underwriting new and existing business for SME clients.
- Building relationships with brokers and intermediaries through live chat, phone calls, and our trading platform.
- Providing an outstanding service experience for both customers and stakeholders.
- Managing your own workload while supporting colleagues to achieve team goals.
- Delivering quality, timely insurance solutions.
- Sharing ideas for improvement to help us work smarter and more efficiently.
- Adapting to change in a fast-paced environment and using inclusive practices during the interview process (adjustments available on request).
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Knowledge or understanding of underwriting.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess risks and make sound underwriting decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in making decisions.
- A keen eye for detail and a willingness to challenge processes to improve outcomes.
