As an Engineer Surveyor for Zurich Engineering, you will conduct hands-on statutory inspections and provide expert judgments to help clients meet legal standards. You’ll work remotely from home across a defined region, building strong client relationships and reporting findings via electronic systems. Responsibilities
- Carry out statutory inspections for LEV and electrical systems
- Provide expert engineering judgments and recommend compliance actions
- Report inspection findings electronically to clients
- Work from home with travel within a geographic area
- Develop client relationships and manage own diary
- Participate in industry training and professional development
- Operate in a multi-disciplined inspection team
- Occasionally work paid overtime to meet client needs
Key requirements
- Experience as an engineer with knowledge of the engineering discipline
- A Level 3 qualification in engineering (or equivalent)
- Compex qualification (advantageous)
- P601 LEV qualification (advantageous)
- Time-served or Modern Apprenticeship background
- Experience with pumps and motors (preferable)
- Full valid UK driving licence
- Willingness to work paid overtime
- Excellent IT literacy and reporting ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Good reporting and literacy
- Client-focused relationship building
- LEV/Local Exhaust Ventilation knowledge
- Electrical engineering know-how
- Pumps and motors experience
