If so, we’d love you to consider joining our expanding Digital Trading Customer Office as a Trainee Underwriter. Based in our Chichester office you will need to be in the office for a minimum of 4 days a week during training.

You’ll play a key role in analysing and underwriting new or renewal business, interacting directly with our customers, and contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced team environment. If delivering excellent customer service is something you take pride in, this could be the ideal role for you.

What will you be doing?
- Building strong relationships with customers by listening, understanding, and meeting their needs—whether you’re helping to bring new customers on board or supporting our existing ones.
- Demonstrating Zurich’s trading and negotiation values in everything you do.
- Developing your knowledge of risk and business awareness and learning about our organisation’s risk appetite.
- Quoting and setting coverage, negotiating terms and conditions for New Business, Mid Term Adjustments, and Renewals.
- Handling inbound and outbound calls, managing tasks and Live Chat, with a focus on winning new business and retaining customers.
- Resolving technical queries by referencing policies, procedures, and specifications, including on short-term projects.
- Administering and monitoring underwriting rules, guidelines, and insurance regulations.
- Being an active member of our large, multi-location Underwriting team.
