This is a fantastic opportunity for an underwriter with Property and/or Casualty experience who is keen to broaden their exposure to multinational programmes while developing their technical and trading skills within a supportive and collaborative team.
In this market-facing role, you'll work closely with brokers and colleagues across the business to support the management of multinational Property and Casualty accounts, helping to deliver sustainable growth and excellent customer outcomes. What will you be doing?
- As a Trading Underwriter, you'll support the underwriting and servicing of multinational Property and Casualty accounts, ensuring business is written in line with Zurich's underwriting standards and risk appetite.
- Working alongside experienced underwriters, you'll develop your technical expertise while building strong broker relationships and identifying opportunities to retain and grow the portfolio.
- You'll also collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders, gaining exposure to the broader commercial insurance market and contributing to the continued success of the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with brokers and customers to support retention and growth opportunities.
- Supporting the underwriting of new and renewal business within delegated authority levels.
- Assessing risk information, exposures and pricing to help deliver profitable growth.
- Identifying and progressing trading opportunities within your broker panel.
- Ensuring all underwriting activity is completed in line with company guidelines, regulatory requirements and governance standards.
- Working closely with Distribution, Claims, Underwriting Services and other business areas to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
- Supporting the delivery of team initiatives, process improvements and business projects.
- Promoting Zurich's wider products and services where appropriate to strengthen customer relationships.
- Maintaining accurate records and policy documentation.
