Our summer internships are ideal for undergraduate students. As well as gaining some great experience, successful completion of your internship could lead to you being offered a place on one of our graduate programmes.
What can I look forward to?
- The 10-week paid Actuarial Internship is designed to provide a taster of what an actuarial career at Zurich looks like.
- You will be working in an actuarial role from day one, gaining experience working alongside a team of actuaries and learning some of the foundation skills required to succeed in the profession.
- Your internship could involve working in reserving, pricing, reinsurance, or another core actuarial area.
- You will be assigned a 'buddy' for the duration of your internship to help guide you through your early experiences.
- The Zurich Internship Scheme will help to develop your non-actuarial skills and give you a chance to work on a project across different career disciplines.
The Life Actuarial internship is based in our Swindon office - one of the UK’s most sustainable offices. There is the potential for hybrid working after an initial period.
What’s in it for you?

What you’ll need:
- Although we are a hybrid workforce, you should be within a commutable distance of the Swindon office.
- Strong IT skills, knowledge of Excel is preferable (but not essential).
- Comfortable with maths and a logical mindset.
- An appetite to learn.
- A professional attitude and a positive approach to your work.
Entry Requirements:
- You must be in your penultimate year of study in a Maths-based bachelors (or equivalent) degree and on course to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree.
- A minimum C/4 grade in both English and Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent).
- At least 128 UCAS points (ABB) in three A-levels (or equivalent).
- A minimum A grade in Mathematics A-level.
- You must have an indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK.
- You must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three consecutive years.
