About Cover‑More Europe

This role is part of our Cover‑More Europe team. Cover‑More Europe provides insurance solutions through a number of different customer‑facing brands across travel, car hire, specialty, and pet sectors in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the rest of Europe. For more than twenty years, we have been delivering insurance policies through our distribution partnerships.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist and occasionally lead in the design process for new and existing features, from ideation through to final implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Create user‑centric designs by understanding business requirements, user feedback, and technical limitations.
  • Assist and occasionally lead with developing wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high‑fidelity mock‑ups that clearly communicate design solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, marketing executives, IT, customer care, compliance and clients to iterate on designs and ensure smooth implementation of the user experience.
  • Conduct user research, including surveys, usability testing and experimentation to inform design decisions and validate design concepts.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to any junior designers that may join the business, helping them grow and improve their skillsets.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, continuously refining design processes and methods.
  • Advocate for the importance of user experience across the organization and contribute to a user‑centric culture.

Reporting (Conversion reporting, Usability reporting, Usability research, Split testing, multi‑variant testing and analysis, Revenue impacts/opportunity analysis, Accessibility scoring and Ad‑hoc reporting)

What skills and experience you’ll bring on this journey

  • 5+ years’ experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role
  • Familiarity with tracking solutions such as GA4, VWO and Hotjar
  • Hand‑on knowledge of design tools, preferably Figma
  • Experienced in HTML design
  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colours, fonts, and layouts
  • Experience of creating responsive webpages
  • Experience of designing e‑commerce journeys / web‑shops
  • Experience of designing logos, graphic and other digital assets
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
  • Good understanding of the technical foundations upon which websites are built (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is preferable, but not essential
  • Experience of running usability testing, using both quantitative and qualitative data
