Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will:
- Ensure execution of rate level indications and portfolio profitability exercises across various segments.
- Support business stakeholders in the development and pricing of new products.
- Promote the development and production of premium adequacy reports and provide budget loss ratio estimates.
- Ensure best practices are followed, including appropriate risk loads for catastrophic risk, commissions, expenses, and profit loadings.
- Perform peer reviews of actuarial work completed by other team members.
- Collaborate with Finance, Business Stakeholders, and Data Analytics to ensure data used for pricing and monitoring is complete, accurate, and timely.
- Support company planning processes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with oversight and governance requirements from the wider organization.
- Work closely with junior team members and non-actuarial colleagues to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Comply with key regulatory, risk management, and audit procedures.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a member, or actively pursuing membership, in the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or a local actuarial governing body.
- Have strong experience in pricing, with travel insurance desirable but not mandatory.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in actuarial concepts and methodologies.
- Be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of VBA, R, Python, or other programming languages preferred.
- Communicate effectively with senior business stakeholders.
- Manage tight deadlines and balance multiple projects with confidence and efficiency.
