This role is part of our Travel Guard team. Travel Guard is a leading travel insurance brand, serving millions of leisure and business travellers worldwide. Established in 1982, we offer a comprehensive portfolio of travel insurance solutions and global assistance services. Travel Guard operates service centres across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, ensuring 24/7 support to help travellers navigate unexpected circumstances that may disrupt their plans.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Follow the client’s case from the onset and monitor the medical condition until the client is cleared for travel either by commercial air or if medically necessary, air ambulance.
- Medically monitor cases by telephone contact with treating medical providers and/or review of medical reports.
- Review and/or recommend medically necessary travel requirements in conjunction with treating physician and Travel Guard Physician on‑duty.
- Carry out accountabilities and objectives within the framework of Travel Guard’s TCF (Treating Customers Fairly), TCP (Travel Compliance Protocol) & Training & Competence policies.
- Work with Assistance Coordinators to assure quality assistance services to the client by directing case management in relation to medical needs.
- Confer with Travel Guard Doctor on‑duty on medical cases to determine optimal direction of case management.
What skills and experience you’ll bring on this journey:
- Registered Nurse or Paramedic.
- Language: Advanced Medical English oral and written (mandatory). + Another European Language (Italian, German, French preferred).
- Demonstrates professional expertise and knowledge in acute emergency/critical care (minimum of five years).
- Demonstrates critical independent thinking and ability to multi‑task in situations wherein the outcome is time sensitive.
- Effectively manages computer technology, typing and word processing.
