Responsibilities
- Understanding the risks a customer can face and how our products and services can support them
- Assessing what could go wrong for a customer and ensuring we charge them the right amount to maintain sufficient funds for support when needed
- Reviewing situations that need coverage and ensuring policies are worded to provide the appropriate protection
- Building relationships and developing negotiation skills to work effectively with customers and partners
- Working with experienced underwriters who support you in navigating a dynamic and rapidly changing insurance market
- Analyzing and underwriting new and renewal business, interacting with brokers to support their customers, and working as part of a diverse team in a fast‑paced environment
- Managing business relationships, determining and evaluating their insurance requirements, and identifying opportunities to enhance their insurance programmes
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of the insurance market and the various products and services
- Being proactive in developing relationships and networks required to achieve business objectives while meeting customers' needs
- Understanding the impact of change within the insurance market and how it affects your role and the broader organisation
- Working with and learning from an experienced team who will support you through your journey
