Join Us as a P&C Risk Reporting Manager!
Are you ready to dive into an exciting role where you can make a real difference? As a P&C Risk Reporting Manager, you'll be a critical part of our dynamic UK Risk Reporting, Data and AI Hub, working as part of a team to produce expert analysis, insights and written Risk reporting for Board, Group and regulatory audiences. As part of this role, you will:
- Shape compelling risk stories for senior leaders, using your communication expertise to turn complex insight into clear, tailored written reports that drive action.
- Build trusted relationships across the UK business, working with a wide range of stakeholders and becoming a valued voice on P&C risk.
- Gain exposure to the full breadth of the P&C risk landscape — from strategic and performance risks to operational challenges and emerging trends.
- Harness AI and data-led thinking to sharpen insights, modernise reporting and help the team work smarter.
- Collaborate with talented colleagues across UK Risk to improve processes, connect the dots and build richer risk intelligence.
- Explore opportunities to broaden your impact through business partnering across other areas of the UK business, where this aligns with your interests.
We're looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas and a proactive approach to risk reporting. This is a great role for an experienced candidate or a strong individual with a desire to learn.
Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.
What will you be doing?
- Tell the P&C risk story: Bring the P&C risk landscape to life through clear, insightful reporting, using data, evidence and expert judgement to support the full P&C reporting calendar.
- Keep a strategic eye across the business: Understand the key risks that could affect the UK business in achieving its strategic ambitions, using P&C reporting to drive action, ownership and accountability.
- Know what makes the business tick: Gain broad exposure across P&C and the wider UK business, building a deep understanding of the business plan, the risks that could disrupt it, and how strategic, market, regulatory and emerging risks connect.
- Create one UK Risk voice: Co-ordinate and align inputs from across the risk function to produce clear, consistent UK Risk reporting for Group requirements.
- Make reporting simpler and smarter: Streamline and improve risk reporting processes by making the best use of existing tools, new technology and better ways of working.
- Be the go-to reporting adviser: Build strong relationships across Risk and P&C, becoming a trusted adviser who helps teams understand, shape and strengthen their reporting.
- Keep decision-makers informed: Provide timely, reliable information to reporting stakeholders and use your network across Risk and P&C to resolve questions and keep reporting moving.
- Play an active role in the team: Be a collaborative member of the UK Risk team, working closely with colleagues across Risk to share insight, support delivery and strengthen outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement: Spot opportunities to improve how the wider risk function works and help turn those ideas into practical, lasting improvements.
What are we looking for?
Strongly preferred skills and experience:
- Excellent written communication: able to turn complex business, risk and performance information into clear, tailored reporting that tells the P&C risk story and gives stakeholders the insight they need to act.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail: able to interpret data, evidence and expert input to identify key risk themes, connect them to the business plan and draw out accurate, reliable and practical insights for senior, Group, Board and regulatory audiences.
- Planning and coordination: able to manage competing reporting deadlines, co-ordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders and keep activity on track across the reporting cycle.
- Data and technology confidence: comfortable using data, reporting tools and emerging technology, including AI, to improve insight, simplify reporting and support smarter ways of working.
- Experience of working within a P&C insurance business ideally with a breadth of experience in underwriting, risk, commercial insurance or a closely associated discipline, ideally with exposure to the London Market and the curiosity to understand how the wider business fits together.
Great skill and experience to have:
- Stakeholder management: able to build trusted relationships across Risk, P&C and the wider UK business, co-ordinating inputs and resolving questions to create a clear and consistent reporting voice.
- Problem-solving: able to spot reporting challenges, simplify complexity and find practical solutions that keep reporting moving and help the team work smarter.
- Risk Management: experience either operating or reporting on risk management fundamentals. Any Institute of Risk Management (IRM) qualifications a bonus.
- Adaptability: comfortable working across a changing risk landscape, adapting to new priorities, technologies and ways of working while keeping reporting clear and effective.
