The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who are looking for a career within Risk Management and wish to join our diverse, passionate and thought-leading ZRS Property Team. Candidates would ideally have some background in Property Insurance either through working in an Underwriting, Claims or Risk Engineering operation. The role is home-based and successful candidates would be required to travel to customer sites across their region as part of the role. The role is an essential car user (ECU) position and includes the ECU company car allowance. We will be running a 3-month training academy for the successful candidates which will provide all the foundational training required to start your career in Risk Engineering. This is a fantastically diverse and rewarding role and the successful candidate will be provided with a comprehensive training program as well as ongoing support to ensure they can thrive and support our customers with technical guidance and insight.
What will you be doing?
- Undertake desktop and on-site assessments in-line with global guidelines as part of risk management survey programmes.
- Produce bespoke risk assessment and risk improvement reports to a professional standard and delivered to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Proactively manage the progress and completion of risk improvement actions as part of any customer account management programmes.
- Work collaboratively across Risk Engineering, Claims, Underwriting and the wider business.
- Prioritise individual workload to deliver effectively for our customers in line with global requirements.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in assessing property risks (such as fire, flood or security) and the adequacy of controls measures from an underwriting or claims perspective.
- Awareness of risk management and loss prevention practices for Property and/or Business Interruption risks.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as Cert/Dip CII, TIFireE, Certification in Risk Management.
- Presentation and customer engagement skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with customers.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and promote collaborative teamwork, seeking diverse perspectives from internal and external partners.
- Invested in self-development and the development of others including setting clear and ambitious goals.
- Communicate with clarity, consistency and openness.
- Be proficient with Zurich Resilience Solutions proposition, identify and consult with new and existing stakeholders where opportunities exist to generate additional revenue.
