As a key member of the SMEE trade Portfolio Underwriting team, you’ll focus on using advanced analytical techniques to optimise our market pricing strategies. Your work will directly influence product performance, support strategic decision‑making, and deliver measurable impact across our portfolio.

We value diverse experience and a growth mindset. If you’re passionate about transforming data into insight and thrive in a collaborative setting, we’ll support you with the tools and opportunities to keep developing your skills.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part‑time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full‑time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, refine, and monitor market pricing models and impact assessment on the SMEE trade portfolio.
  • Support other analysts within the team to develop their technical capabilities for market price optimisation.
  • Deliver regular, actionable insights to Portfolio Managers, using deep data analysis to identify trends and drive profitable growth.
  • Collaborate with Product teams and Technical Pricing to leverage tools such as Radar for impact assessment and evaluation.
  • Champion a positive, diverse, and supportive team culture, collaborating effectively with underwriting, product, and data colleagues.

Your skills and experience:

  • Portfolio underwriting and / or market pricing experience, preferably in SME.
  • Advanced data manipulation and analytical skills, with proven ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Experience with Radar would be beneficial, as would SQL, but a strong desire to learn would be considered.
  • Strong understanding of market pricing, profitability metrics, and product strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical findings into clear business insight.
  • Proactive, collaborative approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
