The opportunity

This role will lead the HNW Personal Lines pricing team, which includes home, motor and travel portfolios. This key position will manage a small team delivering consistent, top-quality analysis, facilitate technical and market pricing changes and support the wider business to track against their financial targets.

What will you be doing?
- Lead the delivery of pricing support for our HNW business.
- Manage a team of two or three analysts from graduate to nearly qualified level.
- Lead the engagement with internal stakeholders through excellent communication.
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant actuarial disciplines and procedures, including claim trend analysis, performance forecasting and predictive modelling, to be able to provide first class insight to internal customers.
- Regular liaison with the Retail Pricing Leaders, Underwriting, Reserving, Claims and Finance teams.
- Develop & maintain actuarial data & systems and incorporate efficiencies or improvements as required.
- Support and supervise junior colleagues through coaching of technical and soft skills.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture.
What are we looking for?
- Highly numerate and analytical.
- Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management & organisational skills, with the ability to manage own and other team members’ work portfolio.
- Excellent market, risk and business awareness, particularly for Personal Lines / High Net Worth markets.
- Experience gained in a Personal Lines Pricing role.
- Software Skills – MS Office suite essential, PowerBI, SQL, R and Radar knowledge would be an advantage.
- Experience with High Net Worth business would be an advantage.
- Experience in managing a pricing portfolio, especially in Personal Lines markets, would be an advantage.
