We are seeking a highly motivated Development Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing existing and new broker relationships. This role requires a forward thinker with exceptional interpersonal skills and a good understanding of the insurance industry.

Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis.

Location: Homeworker with regular presence in the Manchester or Leeds office

Key responsibilities

  • Management and development of new and existing broker relationships.
  • Development responsibility of broker accounts. These accounts will vary in size, complexity or technical in nature, with a view to helping you develop new skills and knowledge.
  • With support from the outset if required, working with minimal supervision you will be responsible for delivery of own sales and business performance targets.
  • Identifying actual and potential customers or intermediary needs and meet those from the various products and propositions that exist within the business.
  • Complete a granular evaluation of your broker panel to drive maximum penetration/profit.
  • Identify and deliver appropriate marketing, sales campaigns, and initiatives across broker panel.
  • Delivery of distribution strategy objectives.
  • Achieve minimum required standard for completion of all essential business tools.
  • Work with all brokers on panel to educate and implement new initiatives.
  • Implement the Zurich distribution strategy and objectives through all allocated brokers.
  • Carry out presentations and sales training for new product launches.
  • Working alongside Underwriters and the wider business to provide brokers with a market leading service proposition.

Your skills and experience

  • Cert CII qualification or working towards it.
  • Good knowledge of market dynamics, product details, and technical aspects, with a strong drive to continuously improve.
  • Ensures adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Well-versed in the unique characteristics and trends of the UK General Insurance market.
  • An interest in forging strong connections with brokers.
  • Effective collaborator with a strong ability to work within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to articulate ideas clearly and confidently.
  • Skilled in managing your schedule and prioritising tasks based on urgency and business needs.
  • Ability to oversee and drive successful outcomes in these areas.
  • Good planning skills to manage your diary effectively and prioritise tasks critical to business success.
