Key Responsibilities

  • As Installation Planning Manager, you will oversee the effective coordination and scheduling of work across the Boilers and Air Conditioning planning teams, ensuring all installation jobs are managed efficiently and deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • You will take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, developing processes, and improving operational workflows to enhance the day-to-day running of the planning team.
  • You will ensure the correct resources are available when required, including forecasting and arranging staffing coverage for weekends and evenings to meet business demand.
  • Working closely with the Data and Engineer Engagement teams, you will use data driven insights to support the recruitment and allocation of engineers.

You will also build strong, trusting relationships with engineers, actively engaging with them and ensuring their diaries and workloads are well-managed.

  • You will react swiftly and positively to installation issues, providing timely and effective solutions that ensure complete customer satisfaction.

You will support your planning team through challenges by offering guidance, listening to calls, completing manager callbacks, and delivering ongoing advice and coaching.

  • Daily tasks will be allocated and overseen by you in a fair and consistent manner, and you will act as a central point of support within the department whenever needed.
  • You will uphold all relevant legislation, manufacturer regulations, and company policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance at all times.
  • The role also involves collaborating effectively with other operational teams, encouraging joint working and improved communication.
  • You will ensure all calendar discounts remain accurate and up to date, and undertake any additional duties required by the Management Team or Board of Directors as part of your employment.

Qualifications

  • As Installation Planning Manager, you will oversee the effective coordination and scheduling of work across the Boilers, or HVAC planning teams, ensuring all installation jobs are managed efficiently and deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Proven experience leading planning or scheduling teams within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Strong IT literacy across mainstream systems and planning/scheduling software
  • Excellent time-management, organisational, and prioritisation skills
  • Clear and effective communication skills with strong command of English
  • Skilled in coaching, active listening, and mentoring team members
  • Experienced in resolving customer issues with positive outcomes
  • Strong background in direct people management and team engagement
  • Driven to deliver high-quality customer experiences and team performance
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and unite teams towards shared objectives
  • Calm, confident, and effective when working under pressure in time-sensitive environments
