Job Summary
To undertake service, repair and remedial work on domestic gas appliances and central heating systems. Working in customers' homes you will need to have experienced technical knowledge with great customer skills. We will require occasional boiler installations to be completed in this role. You will be comfortable carrying out both work in progress (WIP) and post‑installation audits on colleagues and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring that all customers receive accurate advice that is relevant to their circumstances.
- Advising and coaching of engineers on best technical practice and customer service issues as required.
- Recognising and highlighting abnormal problems or issues that are (or likely to cause) significant problems with either customers or engineers and highlighting immediately to the appropriate manager.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with customers, engineers, and colleagues.
- Adhering to all relevant legislation, manufacturing regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Undertake service, repair and remedial work as assigned via the Zuno App. (Note: This will be the majority of your workload).
- Proactively seek advice and guidance where needed.
- Carry out Work in Progress (WIP) and Post installation audits on both employed and subcontracted Gas Engineers as requested by the Compliance Team, submitting all paperwork via iAuditor to the Compliance Team.
- Complete full boiler installations occasionally when required.
- Where required you will attend customers’ homes to meet with Gas Safe Register Inspectors and make good any remedial works found on the day.
- You may be requested to carry out desktop auditing from time to time by the Compliance Team.
- Represent Zuno at all times in a professional manner.
- Any other duties which may be required from time to time by the Management Team and Board of Directors, in the course of your employment with Zuno.
Qualifications & Skills
- ACS qualifications (CPA1, CCN1, CENWAT)
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
- A minimum of 5 years boiler service & repair experience along with fault‑finding skills on all domestic gas boilers.
- Relevant and up‑to‑date industry specific boiler knowledge.
- Experience of working in a customer‑driven environment.
- Health and Safety working experience.
- Analytical and effective problem‑solving skills.
- Clear and effective communication skills with a good command of English.
- Flexible and adaptable to workloads and tasks.
- Confidence in working on your own initiative as well as within a team environment.
- IT Literate.
- Active listening skills.
