Renewables Field Manager
Full Time
Location: Hybrid – 3 Days Office / Remote Management, 2 Days Field Based
Key Responsibilities
Management & Operational Leadership (3 Days Hybrid)
- Lead, manage, and support a team of field engineers and subcontractors.
- Monitor installation performance, productivity, and quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate workloads to ensure efficient delivery of projects.
- Review KPIs, installation data, and customer feedback to drive improvements.
- Manage escalations, technical issues, and operational challenges.
- Work closely with Operations Manager, scheduling, technical, compliance, and customer service teams.
- Ensure company procedures, industry regulations, and quality standards are maintained.
- Deliver training, coaching, and performance reviews for field teams.
Field Responsibilities (2 Days On-Site)
- Installations of EV, Solar & Batteries.
- Conduct site visits and quality audits of completed and ongoing installations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineers.
- Identify and resolve installation issues and implement corrective actions.
- Carry out health and safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Build positive relationships with customers and address any on-site concerns.
- Verify installation standards and ensure documentation and photographic evidence meet company requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing teams within the renewable energy, electrical, or construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of renewable technologies, including EV charging, solar PV, and battery storage.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, health & safety standards, and quality assurance processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to analyse performance data and implement improvements.
- Experience managing subcontractors and field‑based teams.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable Qualifications
- Electrical qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- EV charging, solar PV, or renewable energy certifications.
