Tridonic is the Zumtobel Group’s electronics manufacturer, at the forefront of the electronics industry. We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician at our site in Spennymoor to repair, adjust and maintain production equipment, machinery or instruments to ensure that it functions reliably and complies within process specifications. We are looking for a future leader with a progression plan to move up in our structure in the coming years.
Main accountabilities include:
- Manage the maintenance PM system. Ensure PM’s are followed and ensure team follows PM.
- Proactively lead 2 projects a year on predictive maintenance activities to reduce Downtime.
- Provide all the departments Technician’s with instructions and direction to help them achieve a specific goal.
- Ability to be a Team Leader to manage a team of 8 and provide all the departments Technicians with instructions and direction to help them achieve a specific goal.
- Respond to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions and other operating problems to minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes.
- Implement an established maintenance program and maintain detailed maintenance records so that recurring problems with machinery, equipment, or parts can be identified and addressed.
- Maintain tools and repair equipment in good working order.
- Assisting with the daily operations of the organisation.
- Cover process technician shifts during absences to ensure planned maintenance is completed and production support is maintained in line with the business needs.
- Assessing team performance and providing feedback to employees as needed and support Annual Appraisals.
- Act as Deputy Team Leader when required and be willing to be part of a succession plan.
Your profile - What you will need:
- Good interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
- The ability to effectively lead the team with good people management experience.
- Demonstrable IT skills in Excel and Word.
- A self-motivated and solution orientated individual who can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A practical person with a ‘can do’ attitude who is committed to continual personal and business development.
- The ability to understand quality and engineering processes.
- A mechanical and/or electrical engineering qualification to HNC Level would be an advantage.
