Tridonic is the Zumtobel Group’s electronics manufacturer, at the forefront of smart lighting. We are seeking a Head of Technology & Innovation at our site in Spennymoor to be the local leader for the Technology & Innovation team.
Main accountabilities include:
- Drive Technology Innovation: Lead the development of new technologies for emergency lighting and sensors, from initial concept to functional prototype and transfer to development.
- Develop and Align Strategy: Create and align the technology roadmap with product strategies, ensuring a seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies into future product lines.
- Lead Key Product Developments: Spearhead major new product concepts that enhance the company's portfolio and strengthen market positioning.
- Inspire and Lead the Team: Mentor and support team members in their professional development, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Provide Cross-Functional Technical Support: Offer expert guidance to Product Development, Purchasing, Production, and R&D teams, ensuring technical challenges are efficiently resolved.
- Global Collaboration and Market Awareness: Engage with the global organization, stay up-to-date on market trends and emerging technologies, and maintain a competitive edge.

Your profile:
- A degree in Electronics / Physics or similar.
- Experience in electronic design in a comparable field.
- Able to demonstrate a record in concept designing and developing Switch Mode Power Supplies.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in developing a team.
- Ability to network effectively and build strong internal and external relationships.
- Open minded and innovative with the outside of the box mindset.
