We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining precision components in the aerospace industry, with proficiency in MasterCAM and CNC toolpath generation for lathe and milling operations. You will be responsible for interpreting complex engineering drawings and CAD, programming toolpaths, and ensuring that all toolpaths will create parts that meet strict quality and tolerance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD, and technical specifications.
  • Program toolpaths in MasterCAM and adjust toolpaths as needed to achieve high precision and tight tolerances.
  • Conduct inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools.
  • Work closely with engineering and quality control teams to optimize production processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
  • Document work processes and adhere to AS9100 quality control standards.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of machine programming experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Proficiency in MasterCAM with strong toolpathing skills for both lathe and milling operations.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, CAD and engineering drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming.
  • Experience with GD&T and quality inspection procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be US Citizens with no known issues that would prevent them from obtaining security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fanuc controller experience
  • Experience working within an AS9100 Quality Management System
  • 3 and 4 axis milling experience.
  • Y axis lathe programming experience.
