With a strong market position, ambitious growth plans, and a highly entrepreneurial culture, the business is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join the leadership team and help drive value creation over the coming years. This is a pivotal appointment for a commercially minded CFO who has successfully scaled and exited a private equity‑backed business before. The successful candidate will bring deep experience of executing a buy‑and‑build strategy, combining strategic leadership with strong operational and integration capability. Working closely with the Founder, Board, and investors, the CFO will play a central role in shaping the acquisition strategy and leading the financial and operational integration of multiple businesses as the platform scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Founder and private equity sponsors to deliver the strategic growth agenda
- Lead all financial operations, reporting, forecasting, and performance management across the group
- Build a scalable finance infrastructure capable of supporting rapid expansion
- Drive the execution of an ambitious buy‑and‑build programme, with responsibility for acquiring and integrating 7–10 businesses over the investment cycle
- Play a leading role in acquisition identification, commercial evaluation, due diligence, transaction execution, and post‑deal integration
- Develop and implement a repeatable integration playbook to ensure operational alignment and value creation across acquired businesses
- Lead banking, investor, and stakeholder relationships throughout the growth journey
- Support the business through to a successful future exit event
Candidate Profile
- Proven CFO experience within a private equity‑backed environment
- Track record of scaling and ultimately exiting a PE‑backed business successfully
- Extensive buy‑and‑build experience, including leading multiple acquisitions from identification through to integration
- Demonstrable experience building and executing integration frameworks and value creation plans
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to operate strategically while remaining hands‑on where required
- Credible Board‑level operator with experience engaging investors, lenders, and external advisors
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a founder‑led environment
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified preferred
