We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Group Financial Accountant to join a dynamic, international business with approximately ÂŁ200m in annual revenue and a complex structure of 30+ entities across multiple jurisdictions. This role is pivotal in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting at a group level. You will drive continuous improvement in financial controls, reporting processes, and balance sheet integrity, and lead the external audit process. The role is fully remote with occasional international travel.
About the Role:
- Audit Management
- Manage the full year-end close process, including multi-entity and multi-currency Group consolidated accounts
- Lead the end-to-end external audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors
- Coordinate audit deliverables across multiple entities and jurisdictions
- Ensure timely resolution of audit queries and findings
- Drive improvements based on audit feedback
- Balance Sheet Integrity & Controls
- Drive ownership of and enhance balance sheet understanding and balance sheet reconciliation processes across the group
- Review and challenge reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Establish and maintain robust financial controls and governance frameworks
- Identify and mitigate financial and reporting risks
- Process Improvement
- Lead the close out of process improvement points raised during the FY25 audit
- Continuously review and improve reporting processes, systems, and controls
- Drive standardisation across entities to improve efficiency and transparency
- Support implementation of new systems or enhancements where required
- Financial Analysis & Insight
- Perform deep-dive analysis into financial performance, variances, and key drivers
- Provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders to support decision-making
- Investigate anomalies and ensure underlying data integrity
- Stakeholder Management
- Partner with finance teams across international entities
- Present financial information clearly to senior management
About You:
Qualifications & Experience
- ACA qualified from top 10 practice firm
- Newly qualified or 1-2 years’ experience within industry
- Strong experience in group reporting within a multi-entity, international environment
- Proven track record of leading audits in complex organisations
- Experience with consolidations and multi-currency reporting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Advanced Excel skills
- Deep understanding of financial controls and balance sheet management
