About the Role: We are looking for a proactive and detail oriented Production Planner to manage short term production planning across a 0 to 4 week horizon for a key part of the Croydon manufacturing process. This role translates supply planning requirements into a clear and achievable production schedule that meets customer demand whilst optimising plant efficiency. You will work closely with production, warehouse, logistics and customer service teams to track delivery performance and ensure alignment across the operation.
Role Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain short term production schedules in line with customer requirements
- Maximise OTIF performance and reduce inefficiencies
- Work closely with shift and production managers to monitor schedule delivery
- Proactively flag delays and risks to Customer Service Coordinators and logistics teams
- Monitor stock levels across the EMEA network and report weekly
- Forecast daily inventory movements to warehouse teams
- Own and report on finished goods and quarantine inventory
- Liaise with quality, sales and customer teams to determine appropriate handling of quarantined stock
- Ensure clear handover across production stages and avoid unnecessary re production
- Highlight capacity constraints such as warehouse space exceeding 8000m³
- Track and report schedule attainment and variances on a weekly basis
What you’ll need:
- Strong planning or scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of supply chain processes and their link to production
- Experience using planning systems, ERP tools and Excel
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across production, warehouse and customer service functions
- Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal
- Resilient and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
