About the Role: The Global Health & Safety Director provides senior leadership for Health and Safety across Zotefoams’ international manufacturing operations. This role is accountable for setting and delivering a clear, robust global Health & Safety strategy that protects people, enables operational performance and ensures compliance with international and local regulations. Operating at a global level, you will lead Health & Safety across multiple countries and sites, working closely with the Executive Committee, regional leadership teams and site leaders. You will play a critical role in building and sustaining a strong, proactive safety culture and embedding high standards of Health & Safety into everyday manufacturing activities worldwide. This is a senior, highly visible role requiring deep Health & Safety expertise within complex, industrial and manufacturing environments.
- Global Health & Safety Leadership
- Develop and implement a global Health & Safety strategy aligned with operational and manufacturing priorities.
- Provide visible and credible leadership to embed a consistent Health & Safety culture across all international sites.
- Partner with Executive, regional and site leadership to drive accountability and shared ownership of Health & Safety performance.
- Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with international and local Health & Safety legislation, standards and best practice, including ISO 45001.
- Establish and maintain effective global governance frameworks, reporting standards and incident management processes.
- Own global Health & Safety policies, audit programmes, risk assessments and performance metrics.
- International People Leadership
- Lead and support regional Health & Safety teams across multiple countries, enabling consistency, capability development and collaboration.
- Build strong, trusted relationships across locations, cultures and functions to influence change and improve outcomes.
- Reporting and Engagement
- Report global Health & Safety performance, risks and trends to the Executive Committee and Board.
- Act as a trusted adviser and authority on Health & Safety across the global organisation.
- Promote learning, engagement and continuous improvement at all levels of the business.
What you’ll need:
- Extensive senior Health & Safety leadership experience within global manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Proven experience implementing Health & Safety strategy across multiple countries and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong leadership and influencing capability, with experience advising and challenging senior leaders and executives.
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) – essential.
- CMIOSH or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO management systems and international Health & Safety legislation.
