The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

Form part of a small team, who are responsible for the procurement of electronic /mechanical components in accordance with the manufacturing requirements for a diverse product range including medical and aerospace applications.

The primary objective is to ensure that all daily purchasing activities are completed in a timely manner.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for On-Time Delivery of components and other materials to support production
  • Placing/expediting orders with suppliers in line with the MRP system
  • Assisting with RFQs from suppliers.
  • Working closely with suppliers; monitoring and reviewing KPI’s
  • Work with internal stakeholders to meet customer demand, escalating any issues.
  • Review production shortages and overdue purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of the cost, quality and performance of materials purchased

Qualifications

  • Good standard of Education

Skills

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Experience within a fast moving manufacturing role and MRP

Experience

  • Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training is given.
