Job Description

Purpose and objectives of the role

  • Planned preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair of manufacturing machinery etc.
  • Key role in contributing to the improvement of Health and Safety within each division and Maintenance Department.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Day to day running of the maintenance department.
  • Manage the safe and efficient running of the manufacturing process.
  • Execute maintenance procedures and prioritise all work in line with programme needs and production availability.
  • Complete regular checks and testing on all plant to ensure they are operating within specification and recorded appropriately.
  • Root cause analysis and resolution of any manufacturing losses related to planned maintenance and supply of machinery components.
  • Ensuring critical spares are maintained and that repairs are conducted promptly and efficiently.
  • Liaise and support on site contractors as and when required.
  • Will work a two shift pattern consisting of an early and a back shift.

Qualifications

  • 18th Edition qualified + Plus
  • Hold a recognised qualification, C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing
  • Pasma/IPAF/ 18th Edition or electrically competent (certified)
  • BTEC HND/HNC certificate and diploma in operations and maintenance engineering or a city & guilds certificate in engineering

Skills

  • Have a logical & Methodical approach to fault finding/knowledge of PLC fault finding.
  • Prioritization skills.
  • Must be organised and have good organisation skills.
  • Possess Mechanical/Electrical experience.
  • Possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Have good knowledge and awareness of regulatory compliance.
  • Electrical/Mechanical fault finding.
  • Pump experience.
  • CNC Machinery.
  • Welding/Machining.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Experience conducting machine installations.
  • Experience working with inverters/drives not required but would be desirable.
