Overview
Form part of a small team, who are responsible for the procurement of electronic / mechanical components in accordance with the manufacturing requirements for a diverse product range including medical and aerospace applications. The primary objective is to ensure that all daily purchasing activities are completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- On-Time Delivery of components and other materials to support production
- Placing/expediting orders with suppliers in line with the MRP system
- Assisting with RFQs from suppliers
- Working closely with suppliers; monitoring and reviewing KPIs
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet customer demand, escalating any issues
- Reviewing production shortages and overdue purchase orders
- Maintaining accurate records of the cost, quality and performance of materials purchased
