Overview

Form part of a small team, who are responsible for the procurement of electronic / mechanical components in accordance with the manufacturing requirements for a diverse product range including medical and aerospace applications. The primary objective is to ensure that all daily purchasing activities are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • On-Time Delivery of components and other materials to support production
  • Placing/expediting orders with suppliers in line with the MRP system
  • Assisting with RFQs from suppliers
  • Working closely with suppliers; monitoring and reviewing KPIs
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet customer demand, escalating any issues
  • Reviewing production shortages and overdue purchase orders
  • Maintaining accurate records of the cost, quality and performance of materials purchased

  • Good standard of Education

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Experience within a fast moving manufacturing role and MRP

  • Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training is given
