My client is the rapidly growing European subsidiary of a global Film company who specialise in lighting, rigging, generators, etc. They seek a reliable, self-motivated individual to work as a Repairs Workshop Technician as part of their operations department in Slough, Berkshire. You will have experience of PAT Testing portable equipment, Fault Finding and Electrical Repairs (including Three Phase) in Lighting and Similar, Inventory Management.
Key Duties:
- Driven to achieve and maintain the highest quality and service standards.
- Must be IT literate with the ability to learn in-house asset management systems.
- Demonstrating a positive approach to the company whilst reacting to the high demands of the business.
- Very good communication skills.
- Adaptable and willingness to learn.
- Flexible to work overtime and occasional weekends as the needs of the business require.
- To be able to demonstrate confidence handling technical equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and/or electronic theory.
Qualifications or previous experience:
- Fault finding and electrical repairs (including three phase) - desirable.
- Knowledge/experience of the entertainment/film/TV lighting industry - desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings (CAD) - desirable.
- Have a valid, clean UK driving licence and able to drive on occasion when needed for the repairs vehicle.
- Familiarity with and willingness to work according to health and safety at work regulations.
