We are hiring Senior BI Analysts to join our Fraud & Financial Crime and Collections & Recoveries teams. These roles are ideal for technically strong, curious analysts who enjoy using data, reporting and automation to solve meaningful business problems. You will improve access to insight, reduce manual processes and build scalable data solutions that support better decisions across the bank.

The opportunity involves:

  • Building trusted data pipelines, establishing semantic layers with clearly defined metrics and designing self-serve reporting.
  • Enabling analysis at scale and helping teams monitor performance, identify opportunities and make informed decisions.

Depending on your alignment, you could support:

  • Collections & Recoveries: Helping to deliver better outcomes for customers in financial difficulty through high-quality MI, operational performance insight and process efficiency.
  • Fraud & Financial Crime: Help protect Zopa and our customers from fraud and financial crime by building the data products that sit behind smarter, faster controls.

A day in the life includes:

  • Designing, building and maintaining dashboards using Tableau or similar BI tools.
  • Using SQL to explore data, build structured datasets and deliver repeatable analysis.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand business problems and turn them into practical analytical solutions.
  • Defining, documenting and maintaining clear, trusted metrics.
  • Delivering recurring MI and self-serve reporting that supports operational and risk decision making.
  • Working with Analytics Engineering to design and improve core data models.
  • Improving data quality, reporting standards and the usability of analytics products.
  • Supporting performance monitoring across either operational or risk-focused domains.

About you:

  • Experience in a BI, analytics or reporting role, with a track record of creating reliable production datasets, scalable reporting and self-serve insight.
  • Strong SQL skills and confidence working with large, complex datasets.
  • Experience with a BI tool such as Tableau, Looker or Power BI.
  • Experience with data modelling or dbt, including building robust pipelines and maintaining clear documentation.
  • Strong analytical judgement, attention to detail and focus on data accuracy.
  • Ability to take ambiguous business needs, work productively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and turn them into practical data products.
  • Communicate clearly, constructively challenge and explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • An organised, curious approach to problem solving and managing priorities.
  • Python experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

Helpful experience includes:

  • For the Collections & Recoveries role, experience analysing credit, operational or customer performance metrics would be useful.
  • For the Fraud & Financial Crime role, an interest in fraud prevention or financial crime risk would be valuable.

At Zopa we value flexible ways of working. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2-3 days a week. You'll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year!
