They will daily be making outbound calls to merchants (these can be retail businesses, Dental or veterinary practices amongst others)

Working with a market-leading retail point-of-sale finance solution to corporate and commercial accounts.

Working alongside the Marketing team to generate leads, with 70% coming from your own insights and the rest through a collaborative approach with the Marketing team

Dealing a range of roles, Finance Director, Managing Director, IT director and many other roles whilst you look to identify the right person to win.

The aim is to win new clients that meet the objectives of the business area, that drive good £ Volume and have low bad debt (customers not paying or fraud)

Working with your peers and manager you will be out regularly meeting new opportunities

Participating in the development and roadmap of new products that will take Zopa ahead of the competition, * As the Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM), you will report to the Head of Business Development, who is part of the POS commercial leadership team

With experience as a hunter in previous roles, you will be able to initiate conversations with potential clients you haven’t spoken to before, or re-engage with those discussions that have gone cold in the past.

You will be responsible for generating a minimum of 70% of your own new business leads, which may include existing opportunities in our Salesforce that are currently unassigned.

Familiarity with CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, is essential, along with an understanding of the importance of timely and accurate data input.

You should have an awareness of how your role will function within a regulated environment, particularly in the consumer finance product vertical, which includes areas like Consumer Finance, Personal Loans, and Motor Finance.

Prior experience in the Point of Sale Finance sector, fixed-term loans or revolving credit, is an advantage.
Bonus points for:
- Experience of a regulated environment is a must for this role, however the need to be specifically from an existing provider of a like for like offer is not essential but a nice to have.
