Our Software Engineers don’t just write code, they solve real financial problems for millions of customers. You’ll work on distributed systems processing thousands of transactions daily, build resilient services that handle people’s money, and create experiences that simplify complex financial products.
Responsibilities
- Write and ship code multiple times a week, focusing on shipping great products rather than line count.
- Build and maintain distributed systems at scale, ensuring proven scalability and reliability.
- Practice test‑driven or behaviour‑driven development to maintain code quality.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into technical solutions.
- Operate comfortably in a fast‑moving environment, embracing uncertainty and rapid change.
- Practice collaborative problem solving and operational ownership, not just feature delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience building large‑scale distributed software systems.
- Proficiency in test‑driven development practices.
- Comfortable operating under uncertainty and rapid change.
- Strong collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with Kotlin, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS Aurora Postgres, and related technologies.

Work Environment
This hybrid role requires you to work from our London office 2‑3 days a week, with the option to work abroad for up to 120 days a year. Flexible working arrangements and a flat hierarchy support an honest and friendly atmosphere.
