A Day In The Life

  • Production and circulation of daily MI covering Treasury’s activities, ensuring all reporting is timely and accurate, including the monthly ALCO pack including preparation of monthly MI.
  • Liaise with colleagues across the Bank to coordinate MI and papers.
  • Attend ALCO meetings, taking minutes and updating action logs as required.
  • Proactively monitor cash balances and move cash in a timely manner to avoid any operational impacts.
  • Prepare accurate short-term cashflow forecasts to provide visibility over the Bank’s liquidity position.
  • Work with Treasury Managers to support their work, including liquidity management (including monthly reporting), IRRBB, FTP reporting, HQLA activity (including TMS management) and BoE / other wholesale funding.
  • Ongoing daily management of hedge portfolio, including agreeing margin calls as required.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly reports on loan sales activities.
  • Awareness and understanding of relevant policies and standards governing Treasury activities.
  • Assist in managing ongoing compliance requirements, including the update of the RCSAs.
  • Enhance use of Finance/Treasury systems including SQL.
  • Work collaboratively with internal groups including Accounting, FP&A, Regulatory Reporting, Risk & Compliance, IT, Operations and Legal

About You

  • The ability to communicate effectively.
  • Confident in using appropriate software tools and programs (Excel, ALMIS, SQL, Tableau and Anaplan) and are willing to learn new ones as required including using AI.
  • You’re able to work well with cross functional teams and external partners
  • You have strong quantitative skills, problem-solving, and must be detail-oriented
  • A strong interest in Fintech and broader financial services industry
  • You’re a fast learner – keen to develop your knowledge and be exposed to new concepts, processes and systems
  • Able to organise and analyse statistical data and prepare comprehensive reports
  • You’ll ideally have experience in treasury, most likely in a UK retail Bank or Building Society but this isn\'t essential

We\'re on the move! Towards the end of 2025 Zopa will be relocating to a brand-new headquarters at 20 Water Street in Canary Wharf.
