The Role
- Lead a cross‑functional full‑stack squad responsible for designing and building a new current account proposition.
- Use insight and collaborate closely with the design team to ensure the proposition is differentiated in the market and meets customer needs and pain points.
- Problem‑solve with engineers on how to build solutions, helping them make the right trade‑offs to add value quickly and learn fast while shipping quality products.
- Ensure everything built is beautiful, valuable, viable, usable and feasible with the help of engineers and designers.
- Collaborate with other tribes and squads within Zopa to ensure overall product cohesiveness.
- Build close relationships with key stakeholders such as Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Legal and Finance to take the product to customers.
- Manage the live product in market, drive business goals and focus on the right metrics that move the needle.
- Use data and feedback from multiple sources to drive enhancements and make tough product calls.
About You
- 5+ years working in customer‑facing product, ideally at a retail bank or fintech.
- Passionate about product and solving customer problems; you act as the voice of the customer.
- You can evidence the successful products you’ve built or at least show significant impact on key metrics.
- Customer insight is central to your decision‑making process; you know how your product differentiates and fits your target market.
- You are outcomes‑focused, highly proactive and take ownership beyond your immediate remit.
- Your decisions are backed by data; you test, learn and progress consistently.
- You have experience leading cross‑functional teams, collaborating tightly and managing stakeholders.
Working Arrangements
This hybrid role requires you to work from our London office 2–3 days a week. You also have the option to work from abroad for up to 120 days a year, provided you have the right to work in the country of choice.
