We are seeking a Lead Product Designer to shape the future of our current account and joint account experiences, leading a small team of designers and driving innovative, accessible design solutions for our customers.

  • Set the design direction for Spend, translating product strategy into intuitive customer experiences that deliver real value.
  • Lead, coach and develop a small team of Product Designers, creating an environment where people can do their best work.
  • Stay hands‑on, leading design on complex, high‑impact initiatives while supporting your team through discovery and delivery.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Researchers to solve customer problems and shape product strategy from the earliest stages.
  • Champion high standards of design craft, accessibility and inclusive design, ensuring quality is not compromised as we move quickly.
  • Balance customer needs, commercial goals and technical constraints to make thoughtful design decisions and trade-offs.
  • Collaborate across Savings, Borrowing, Platform and Design Systems to create a consistent end‑to‑end customer experience.
  • Contribute to the growth of the wider Design team through hiring, interview panels, ways of working and design practice.
  • Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate your workflow while maintaining a high bar for quality.

About You

  • You are an experienced Product Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end product thinking and exceptional interaction design.
  • You have led or managed designers before and enjoy helping others grow through coaching, feedback and mentoring.
  • You are as comfortable defining strategy as you are crafting polished user experiences yourself.
  • You have experience designing native mobile products, ideally within fintech, banking or another complex consumer product environment.
  • You care deeply about designing for customers in real‑world situations and naturally consider accessibility, inclusion and Consumer Duty in your work.
  • You know when to push for the best solution and when to make pragmatic decisions to deliver value quickly.
  • You are an excellent collaborator who builds strong relationships across Product, Engineering and Research.
  • You are comfortable working with design systems and understand how to balance consistency with innovation.

This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2‑3 days a week, with the option to work from abroad for up to 120 days a year, subject to the right to work in the country of choice.
