The team:

The Delivery function is responsible for the first‑class delivery of priority projects across product and engineering. As a Delivery Manager, you will work with product and technical leads and various stakeholders to provide structure, coordination, visibility and momentum for some of the most exciting and impactful changes happening at Zopa Bank. You will work on a variety of projects and engage multiple areas of the business, often expected to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

A day in the life:

  • Project Planning & Scheduling: You would develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines. You would work with product and engineering teams to define project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management: You would identify and engage with all stakeholders, communicate project expectations and updates to stakeholders, and facilitate steering committees.
  • Risk Management: You would work with the project team to surface risks and issues. You would develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Leadership: You would lead and motivate project team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Project Governance: You would ensure adherence to risk and governance processes, and facilitate project governance meetings.
  • Relationship Building: You would build and maintain strong relationships with key project stakeholders, contributors and sponsors.
  • Communication: You would ensure effective communication within the project team and with external stakeholders, and prepare and present regular status reports.
  • Change Management: You would work with key stakeholders to embed change effectively.
  • Coaching & Mentoring: You would coach individuals and teams to address dysfunctions and improve delivery outcomes. You would also mentor junior colleagues in industry best practice and Zopa ways of working.

About you:

  • You have experience in a Delivery related role.
  • You have strong communication skills.
  • You have experience managing medium/large multi-team projects.
  • You have experience managing both technical and non-technical projects.
  • You have worked closely with product managers and software engineers.
  • You have experience building and maintaining detailed project plans.
  • You are a keen problem solver and can navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • You have experience managing senior and C-level stakeholders.
  • You have a solid understanding of change management principles.
  • You can prioritise effectively and know when to elevate for guidance.
  • You are proactive in identifying and addressing your development needs.
  • You are happy to come into the office at least 2 times a week or as required.

You’ll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year!
