The Developer Experience team sits at the heart of engineering at Zopa, focused on making life easier, faster and more effective for every engineer across the business. We build and scale the internal platforms that power how teams develop, deploy and monitor software.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering teams to help them adopt new platforms and ways of working
- Support the rollout of tools like CI/CD pipelines and observability platforms
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and shape adoption plans
- Contribute to building internal tools that improve developer workflows
- Help document and communicate best practices across engineering
- Work closely with senior engineers to learn, grow and deliver impact
- Play an active role in improving how engineering works across the organisation
Qualifications

- At least one programming language is already in your toolkit

- Hands‑on experience working with Golang
- Some familiarity with observability tools like Honeycomb, Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana

- Practical exposure to Kubernetes environments
- An understanding of developer productivity or platform tooling

The team works closely with experienced engineers across the company, giving you exposure to high-quality thinking, strong mentorship and meaningful technical challenges. This is a collaborative, people‑focused environment where success comes from working with others, not just building in isolation.
At Zopa we value flexible ways of working. We value face‑to‑face collaboration and a good work‑life balance. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2-3 days a week. You’ll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year!
