We are looking for a Category Manager to oversee our product categories in the online shop. The role focuses on driving topline growth and improving bottom‑line performance through category steering, campaign and promotion planning, pricing, and onsite optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of category strategies and translate them into actionable plans.
- Collaborate with central teams (vendor management, marketing, CRM, etc.) to ensure seamless execution of strategies.
- Analyze input and output KPIs at category, sub‑category, and product level; derive insights to inform decision‑making and actions aligned with business goals.
- Actively manage and grow sales of our portfolio, with a strong focus on own brands, driving acquisition, migration, and retention initiatives.
- Monitor pricing dynamics of key products and bestsellers.
- Recommend local price adjustments in alignment with the central pricing team.
- Develop and execute campaign and promotion plans in close collaboration with central teams.
- Ensure accurate campaign setup in collaboration with central teams, including marketing support, banner creation and landing page setup.
- Monitor campaign performance, track cost vs. budget, and optimise promotional impact.
- Ensure optimal presentation of campaigns and products across the online store.
- Provide input on e.g. search optimisation, up‑selling, cross‑selling, and product recommendation features.
- Work closely with shop operations on banner management, shelf arrangement, and content optimisation.
- Relevant experience in FMCG and e‑commerce, ideally within the pet sector.
- Strong proficiency in English, Norwegian, and Finnish language.
- Analytical and data‑driven mindset with strong commercial acumen.
- Broad understanding of core business functions and how they interconnect.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with proven ability to influence stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of local customer needs and market dynamics.
- Hands‑on, results‑oriented, and proactive approach.
