Key Responsibilities

  • International Trade & Documentation
    • Prepare and manage all transit documentation for machines and spare parts from origin to destination.
    • Expertly review and prepare documents under Letters of Credit (LC) terms for export.
    • Manage Duty and VAT payments for imports from China, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations.
    • Stay current on import declarations and transport regulations within the UK and Ireland.
  • Shipment Coordination & Monitoring
    • Provide end-to-end monitoring of cargo (Import/Export/Local) and maintain real-time tracking reports.
    • Liaise with the China export team, product lines, and logistics providers to optimize delivery timelines.
    • Coordinate directly with shipping lines, ports, brokers, and haulage companies to ensure on-time delivery.
    • Collaborate with the EU Logistics Team for cross-regional and intra-subsidiary movements.
  • Commercial & Compliance
    • Negotiate shipping quotations with a focus on balancing cost-efficiency with service commitments under time-sensitive pressure.
    • Ensure every shipment adheres to strict logistics compliance standards.
    • Support emerging regulatory requirements, including Carbon Emission compliance and CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) reporting.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in import/export and heavy machinery transportation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, or a related field.
  • Highly organized with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication.
  • Fluent in English communication.
