Key Responsibilities
- International Trade & Documentation
- Prepare and manage all transit documentation for machines and spare parts from origin to destination.
- Expertly review and prepare documents under Letters of Credit (LC) terms for export.
- Manage Duty and VAT payments for imports from China, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Stay current on import declarations and transport regulations within the UK and Ireland.
- Shipment Coordination & Monitoring
- Provide end-to-end monitoring of cargo (Import/Export/Local) and maintain real-time tracking reports.
- Liaise with the China export team, product lines, and logistics providers to optimize delivery timelines.
- Coordinate directly with shipping lines, ports, brokers, and haulage companies to ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with the EU Logistics Team for cross-regional and intra-subsidiary movements.
- Commercial & Compliance
- Negotiate shipping quotations with a focus on balancing cost-efficiency with service commitments under time-sensitive pressure.
- Ensure every shipment adheres to strict logistics compliance standards.
- Support emerging regulatory requirements, including Carbon Emission compliance and CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) reporting.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in import/export and heavy machinery transportation.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, or a related field.
- Highly organized with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
