We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join a leading organisation within the security industry. This is a field-based role, offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with a wide range of modern security technologies.
The Role
- Attend both pre-planned and reactive callouts, ensuring the effective maintenance and repair of security systems across residential and commercial sites.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across security systems, restoring functionality efficiently.
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on intruder alarms, CCTV, fire alarms, and access control systems.
- Respond to emergency callouts and pre-arranged service visits.
- Monitor alarm activations and investigate issues, taking appropriate action.
- Recommend and implement system upgrades and improvements.
- Provide technical support to customers both remotely and on-site.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Service Engineer within Fire or Security.
- Strong knowledge of intruder alarms.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good understanding of CCTV, access control, and fire alarms.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information
- Field-based role with travel to customer sites. (Company van and fuel card included)
- Participation in an out-of-hours call rota - including weekends and bank holidays (Standby rate paid and commission paid on top if you have to visit a client's house)
- Salary up to £45k with an OTE of £58k.
