An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Engineer / Heat Pump Installer to join a well-established and rapidly expanding renewable energy specialist delivering premium residential and commercial projects across the South East. This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist skills within one of the UK's fastest-growing industries while benefiting from ongoing training and genuine career progression.
Responsibilities:
- Installing advanced heating, plumbing and mechanical systems to engineering drawings and specifications
- Assisting with the installation of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), heating systems, cooling systems and Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
- Installing high-quality plumbing pipework to exceptional standards
- Working on premium residential developments and selected commercial projects across the South East
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards
- Working closely with Project Managers and Mechanical Supervisors to deliver projects on time
- Maintaining excellent communication with clients, contractors and other trades on site
- Following all health & safety procedures, risk assessments and company standards
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating (Essential)
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (Desirable)
- 1-3 years' practical experience in plumbing or mechanical installation
- A solid understanding of domestic plumbing and heating systems
- The ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings
- A full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience installing Air Source Heat Pumps
- Experience with MVHR or renewable heating technologies
- Knowledge of low-temperature heating systems and hydraulic principles
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and manufacturer training
