Zoom are recruiting an experienced Transport Administrator on behalf of a leading UK distribution network for a contract role that could extend to a permanent position offering leading industry benefits. The role will be based near West Thurrock RM20.
We're looking for someone who has worked in a similar transport environment so you'll likely have some of the necessary skills to ensure that the transport admin and driver debrief can operate efficiently. Problem solving, strong admin skills and thinking on your feet will be key in this Transport Admin role. Experience using Excel is key for reporting and some exposure to using various ERP systems (SAP preferable but not essential).
Due to the location of their site, you will have to be based within a commutable distance from West Thurrock RM20.
Transport Admin Duties:
- Creating order numbers for suppliers
- Responding to queries from customer services reporting on SAP
- Complete vehicle checks and driver de-brief at the end of shifts
- Support and cover for Holiday and Sickness within the Transport Team
- Book courier drivers
- Maintain accurate and up to date transport documentation
- Compile daily reports and KPIs
- Complete driver delivery packs for radial routes
- Carry out Digital Tachograph downloads of vehicles
- Check Log and file daily defect reports
- Use a variety of software packages (including Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint) to manage data in accordance with GDPR and produce documents and presentations
- A basic knowledge of working time directive and vehicle restrictions
- Be competent in MS Office
- Experience of using SAP is ideal but not essential
- Have sound numeracy and literacy ability with a special attention for detail
- Previous administration and fleet experience is ideal
Salary Β£14.45ph contract. PM Shift 12:00pm 20:00pm Monday to Friday, Temp-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
